Taste The Rainbow (My Concentration)

Apple

Pear

Pineapple

Strawberry

Kiwi

Starfruit

Pomegranate

Cheeries

Peach
Banana
Lemon

Watermelon
This was my concentration (series of 12) for my AP Studio Art class. They're all the same size and pretty big. One night I was playing around with chalk pastels and decided to do a pear because I had never used the medium before. I ended up loving it and made it my concentration for the year.

My Per Diem

This is one of my favorites. The words on the petals say ...
"She takes photographs of people she knows.
She brings out the best and worst in them.
And god is buried deep in the folds,
Of her fractured self and the lies that they've told.
She used to laugh at everything old.
It was a joke that never aged a bit.
But when they robbed her of her infinite smile;
She said maybe I'll just play dead for a while.
And in this moment, They'll be fallin in love.
It's my per diem."
They're the lyrics to Retarded in Love by Say Anything.

She Belongs Above

This is a portrait of my great grandma who died earlier this year. It was done in Charcoal and the text in Ink.

Fast Women & Cheap Drinks

This was my senior project.

It is a little over 7 feet tall and about 5 feet wide. The words are from a 3oh!3 song. The girl is done in watercolor. It took about a week to do all of the girl. The words are done in marker.

Evolving

I thought it would be neat to show the process of drawing and painting something which the butterfly went along well with because of how a butterfly evolves.

One Nation Under ___

This piece seems to be very controversial to people. You either love it or you hate it. When my portfolio was reviewed for SAIC (School of Art Institute of Chicago), they loved it...of course. The background is pages of an encyclopedia over the U.S. It was very simple to make ... but I sure get a lot of comments on it.
